As part of its commitment to facilitate banking for customers and become a leader in Digital Banking, Emirates NBD Egypt has introduced a new feature to its Mobile Banking App for a more convenient and innovative banking experience.

The new feature provides a unique banking experience for Emirates NBD Egypt’s customers that enables them to transfer funds through their mobile phones to all bank customers using “mePay”. The service allows customers to perform mobile-to-mobile same bank transfer using mobile numbers from their contact list instead of using their bank account numbers, in addition to paying various bills without waiting in queues.

The Mobile Banking Application also offers Emirates NBD Egypt customers a range of services and benefits. It allows them to transfer money in Egyptian Pounds between the bank’s accounts, which will reflect immediately even on weekends and official holidays, in addition to fixed deposit issuance, request cheque book issuance, and redeem card reward points immediately with cash or have gift vouchers sent to their mailing address.

Alaa EL Qushairy, Head of Digital Banking at Emirates NBD Egypt, stated, “Many banks are seeking to develop their Digital Banking services, but at Emirates NBD we are committed to becoming leaders in Digital Banking. We are fully aware of the importance of digital technology in banking and constantly strive to keep pace with the developments of this vital field to turn it into innovative banking services that can benefit our customers.”

The Mobile Banking App is available for free on the Apple Store or Google Play. It gives customers control of the main interface by adding or removing items based on their preferences and selecting their preferred account, cards, or transactions to facilitate payments and transfers. The application is also useful in future banking transactions through reminders on loan installment dates, credit card payments, and other banking commitments.
